Wiesner-Hager’s first time at the Design-Biennale Interieur 2010 in Kortrijk

Showing courage for design pays and is also becoming a decisive factor in international success. With this philosophy Wiesner-Hager presents itself to the European design scene at the Interieur Design-Biennale in Kortrijk from15 to 24 October 2010.

The Interieur now takes place every second year and has developed into a real designhotspot of European dimensions. In Kortrijk Wiesner-Hager dedicates itself exclusively to Office Architecture design: with its conference table system pulse, the office chair family ayo
and the cafeteria system macao, the Upper-Austrian company will present three product innovations that combine perfected functionality with highest demands on design.

With pulse Wiesner-Hager is following the current trend of understatement in management by setting a new lightness against the old heaviness of the boardroom. Intelligent functions – such as a new cable management system – are unobtrusive, yet on call whenever needed.

Climate comfort is the new trend in the office chair segment, along with the long-runner of sitting comfort. In the new series ayo, a double mesh covering gives the chair both, its perfect climate comfort and its unmistakeably elegant look.

With macao, the new cafeteria system, Wiesner-Hager is breaching conventional forms and is creating the prerequisites for a creative atmosphere, which is increasingly expected of modern Working Cafés.

„Design is a crucial differentiating- and competitive factor. We often need to make ourselves aware of its real value. Individuality in a product’s design is an absolute must as a differentiating factor,” says Wiesner-Hager’s managing director Markus Wiesner. “The every-day challenge lies in aligning a maximum individuality in design to the industrial requirements of the production process.” The company’s persistent design-orientation is highly important for its international success – the high export rate of over 40% impressively confirms this strategy.
