Climate comfort for your office
Two main factors are responsible for the high climate comfort: First, there is the double mesh covering at the back. It acts like an air cushion and ensures the balancing of the inside and outside temperatures. Second, there are the perforated seat foam and the elastic seat suspension; both are breathable and thus additionally regulating temperature and moisture.
The double mesh covering does not only have functional advantages, it also establishes ayo’s visual individuality. The mesh creates a three-dimensional body with volume which, at the same time, retains a certain quality of lightness. The designers of arge2, who were responsible for the design of the entire office chair family, have put it like this: ‘ayo’s trademark is the double net mesh. On the one hand, it reduces the complexity of common net-frame constructions and gives the piece an overall image of calm; on the other hand, it visually implies the character – and thus the sitting comfort – of an upholstered chair.’
This high sitting comfort is only reinforced by the elastic seat suspension: when seated, an ergonomic seat pan is formed. It supports a positive interaction between pelvis and back. The lateral quick tension spring adjustment ensures that the chair can be adapted to individual body weight within no time: three turns of the hand wheel cover the whole adjustment range. In addition, the newly developed synchro-mechanism offers a finely attuned movement of seat and backrest.
However, ayo also stands for ergonomic functionality. There is a synchro-adjustment of seat depth and backrest height via a hidden, diagonal, gas spring supported telescopic rod. Through it, the backrest can be adapted to body size perfectly and can also be adjusted to the sensitive lordosis area of the spinal column.
The office chair family is complemented by a conference chair and a cantilever. So the pleasant sitting climate is not just widespread in the office, but in any other location were ayo tends to be used: at conferences, in meetings and in seminars.
